("Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik").
The "Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik" has been in existence since 1963 and was inaugurated to set the "most
rigorous standards for supreme achievement" in the field of recording.
The association comprises 114 music critics, writers and editors in the German-speaking countries.

From the Suitar to the Guitar is een van de volmaakste producties die ik ken, te vergelijken met de dubbel-dvd over Stéphane Grappelli
en Django Reinhardt ("A life in the jazz century", Music on earth). Prachtig opgenomen, goed gedocumenteerd, met een weelde aan extra's,
interviews, rehearsals die veel licht werpen op de genesis van het project. Het was voor mij een boeiend ophalen van herinneringen aan
die enthousiasmerende avond die ik zo'n tien jaar geleden mocht meemaken."

Due to an injury, Mr. Shankar unfortunately had to cancel his performance dates on the East coast over the next weeks.
Consequently, the launch event at the Asia Society on 28 September had to be cancelled as well.
